East Of The Wantsum... And South Of The Border

Here's this week's EotW. My last before Christmas, as I got a call yesterday from Bev, my agent, saying they desperately need me as a last minute fill-in for Jimmy Cricket in Oz!

So this morning I was... er, well, I was going to say dashing, but as ever Kent County Council didn't bother to grit the roads down here in the tip of Kent... so I was gingerly mincing along the snowy roads, visiting the various sheds out at Westwood to buy last minute essentials like kecks and Marmite before the limo for Heathrow picks me up at three.

So, on Christmas day, I'll be stuffing myself down under in an effort to acquire an even bigger roof over the toolshed! I'll send you a postcard. Pip pip!

Pull the other one, oz in deed. Are you sure you are not a stand in at Elim Family Church, Eastbourne tomorrow where Jimmy is appearing!

Other Thaneticians might be joining you - sun sun!
I am affronted that the ruddy faced leader thinks he can rob the poor to supply the rich - grammar school places going west -Ramsgate federation of schools will already be down by 60 places next year what more can he take? Chatham house has no Herne Bay children this year. Why are we always treated with contempt just because we live in the east of the county! whether it is road gritting or school places?

The solution for Anon 2.23 is easy. Start campaining for the 12 Kent district councils and KCC to be scrapped and 3 new unitary councils to be set up. One called East Kent. Its been done elsewhere with savings made on admin and other duplication of services. District councils are already looking at ways of making savings by pooling resources like refuge collection. But who would the leader be?

ECR NUMBER 1

TONY of BIG NEWS does ok for a Margate geezer,

PAUL WELLS (Bertie) of Thanet Strife is a bit self-righteous for my liking,

BUT personally I think ECR is the best. Its all about fun.

Well done ECR you make me laugh - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I don't agree. Paul Wells who does Thanet Strife is smarter than both Tony an Richard coz he was a teacher and talks at u wiv a posh voice

Anonymous said...

Paul "Bertie" Wells is that anti gatway bloke on this link right?

ECR has gone down under - but he said he will send us a postcard so you'll just have to be patient fellow bloggers

Thats old news everyone knows that Paul Wells retired teacher and tree hugger is Bertie Biggles of Thanet Strife - only Paul himself thinks we're all fools..

Bertie Biggles said...

He doesn't think anyone's a fool, 4.32; far from it.

His identity ceased to be a 'secret'in the summer of 2008 and the reason why, is actually rather sinister, but he will not go into details here.

Yes, it is old news but he prefers to still use his 'nom de guerre'on Thanet Strife as 'Bertie'.

I am so glad to everyone for outing Paul 'Bertie' Wells of the excellent Thanet Strife.

I can now tell my pet hamster 'Hammy' who was the only creature in Thanet not to know this remarkable secret; that everyother sod has known for well over a year.

Pity the poor sods at the Council are so uninformed; or just thick!

I have seen it all. Peter Checksfield praising Gary Glitter on his margate music man blog.

Anonymous said...

OMFG! I've just looked at his blog & he also praises Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Cliff Richard & Bill Wyman! What's up with that guy, does he only like the music of perverts?!

He likes them young: http://www.nakedinthanet.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=282

Blimey, someone's been busy!

As for me "praising" Gary Glitter, I guess you need to read the blog post more closely. All I'm praising is his art, not his vile personal life.

Tony that does BigNews Margate is to be respected for using his real name when he says things bout real people, unlike the sneaky snide 'Paul Wells' who has just refered to himself in the third person. This is from a geezer who critized the mayor for changing his name.

Tony was open about who he is from the start. Sneaky Paul would have never been fair and open.

When I think of Paul Wells the word hypocrisy always comes to mind!

Strange all these comments. If a Paul Wells wants to call him self Bertie on Thanet Strife, then that is up to him.

Simon Moore's on Thanet Life has been calling himself a Doctor for years!

5.19 has a real hang up! Which Conservative supporter or Councillor are you? You hide behind a posting as 'Anonymous'and yet criticise Bertie on Thanet Strife who is happy to admit who he is. Are you so fucking pig ignorant that you dont realise how stupid you sound?

My, my! You have all been busy little wasps while I've been away, haven't you! What on earth happened to the spirit of Christmas?

I'm assuming Mr Biggles does not have a problem with the comments that refer to him, seeing as he's held his own.

As for 'loaf', whose comment I've deleted, please be aware that there is only room for one foul mouthed, opinionated twat on this blog... and that's me!

Happy F***ing Christmas!

A fan said...

So you made it to Tullamarine in one piece then , you lucky sod!

Bertie Biggles said...

Happy Christmas, Dickie old boy.

Thanks for the implied 'editing' button but as you have rightly assumed, not too worried about my identity being known. After all, I gave it away myself at one point until you reminded me that my petticoats were slipping! Old news really and I enjoy a bit of flak about!

Who the fig is Paul Wells anyway? lol who cares if he runs THANET STRIFE, hes just a bitter and sad person that spends his time being nasty to others, instead of getting out of his arm chair and standing as a dane vally candidate HIMSELF!

I guess, those who can, do; those who can't, teach or run blogs in Fanit.

Anonymous said...

So ECR I hope you turn over a new leaf in the new year and stop flying to all these distant places. Unless of course "I am going to stuff myself down under on Christmas day" did not mean you will be in OZ but you were going to perform an unusal party trick?
Anyway less flying nextg year and stick to the ferries.

Paul Gadd said...

Apparantly Paul Wells listens to Gary Glitter too (alledgedly).

Richard Eastcliff said...

Jeez! What a bunch of whingeing Poms!

Richard Eastcliff said...

Not that I ever whinge, I hasten to add!!!

Bertie Biggles said...

Nice to see NTCA members (1:48 and 7:12)continuing to reveal a rather unpleasent aspect to their characters.

You fail to address the questions put on 'Thanet Strife' gentlemen, but resort to rather petty sniping on ECR. If you take exception to what you read on 'Strife',come and argue your case, where your view points , assuming you have any, will be politely posted and answered. Have a Happy Christmas, best wishes, Bertie.

I've got little time for the Tory party (although I respect all people) as i'm proud to be a fully paid up LIB DEM, but Bertie OR Paul what ever he likes to be known as, is jumping to a lot of conclusions.

By waging a personal vendetta against Thanet Tories (most of whom are decent people) he is totally ignoring LABOUR!
