East Of The Wantsum

Here's this week's EotW (click it to big it).

I'm dedicating it to the memory of my chum Mr Dickens of Broadstairs, who was prematurely taken from us in a tragic accident earlier this week. He was a regular contributor and commentator on this blog, with a devilish sense of humour and a particular way of pricking the pomposity of the puffed up and pointless politicians we suffer from on our septic isle. Mr D of B, you will be sorely missed.

I've received an invite, thanks John. I really can't believe that he's gone. Still in a state of shock.

Yes, Mr Dickens will be very much missed.

We often went for a drink after the Thanet Film Society screenings at the Palace, and it was just as much fun when it was one of those dull, worthy films they're fond of showing because, as you say ECR, Mr D had a way of pricking pomposity.

As John says, he was a big fan of this blog, and it was often a topic of our conversations.
